Pushpad offers libraries and plugins to easily add push notifications to websites and web apps.

The REST API and server-side libraries are mainly used to send web push notifications, while you can use the Javascript SDK to subscribe the users to the notifications.

You can also use Pushpad using the REST API.

If you just need to send web push notifications, the libraries are the easiest solution, while the REST API offers more features and advanced integrations with Pushpad.
